Happy Earth Day

It's Earth Day this week, and to celebrate, we decided to share our Earth Day resolutions with you. We also asked three of our favorite blogger friends to tell us what they are going to do. Joy of Oh Joy is going to recycle her paper bags, in a very stylish and clever way. Natalie of Nat the Fat Rat is going to recycle all of her pop cans. Elaine of Clothed Much is going to use reusable totes while shopping. Brooke and Summer are going to change all their toxic cleaning products to Method products

What are you going to do? We want to hear all about it.

  1. You ladies are so cute and these are some great ideas for taking care of our beautiful planet! There are so many little things we can do that will have a huge effect. I am a flight attendant and I think what I'm going to do is try to recycle more pop cans on my flights. We have bags designated for recycling, but most flight attendants don't use them because it's just another task...but I think it's totally worth it!

  2. This is such a great video! I feel like Earth Day is sneaking up on me this year, I haven't had much time to think about it yet, and this is such a fun reminder! Little things like this really do matter I think, even beyond the fact of just reducing our waste, because they help us realize how important (and not that hard!!!) it is to take care of our planet, and so with time we'll (hopefully) be inclined to do more and more in that direction.

Wishing you a wonderful Earth Day this year!

  3. Well, I have already been quite the "recycler" (I have a huge bag I use to hold the paper I'll recycle and I recycle plastic shopping bags like no one's business.) I am also the "turn off the lights and open the windows!" nazi. But now I think I need to start a recycle bag for water bottles!! I have been thinking about using natural cleaners lately, (especially since I'm pregnant I have been thinking about it.) But I never thought about the earth friendliness aspect! One more reason to switch over. :)

  4. Yay! I'm so glad you are recognizing Earth Day! Everyday I am thinking about what decisions I can make Earth friendly. Baby steps to self reliance.

  6. you two are seriously adorable & funny. i like it. & hearing what others are doing for the earth is awesome! what i'm doing to help the earth is simple recycling, always a good thing to do. & it's easy, just need to remember. & planting a garden full of the good kinds of vegetables &/or fruit we like to eat. just keeping it simple & close to home. relying on our own sources!

  8. I love Earth Day! Every year I put on a "Trashion Show" where the entire collection is made from trash or upcycled clothing. It's tons of fun! I love doing it. You can check out last year's designs here if you'd like. This year's designs have yet to be revealed.... Friday is the big day!
