  7. I wish I would have known about this company when I bought my last pair of glasses. My cost way more than just $100 bucks! Its amazing that they are thinking of people in need. I love that!

  10. My boyfriend just ordered his first pair! What a fantastic business model... and perfect for the Girls With Glasses Show! :)

  11. Love that they provide fashionable frames for payable prices! Woo hoo, party on. Super groovy that they'll send five pair before you buy. And not gonna lie, Dave looks like Simon Cowell. Not necessarily a bad thing at all. And GWG-Warby Parker special edition? Yes please. Adorable.

  12. I love these! Really! Blogging about them wasn't at all difficult, because their website is absolutely di-vine!! I've tried on just about ALL of their specs, and the Japhy is probably my favorite. I have a blog post here (http://tbrogan.tumblr.com/post/998464485/obsessed-with-warbyparkers-website-because-you) and I also tweeted it (https://twitter.com/tay_bro/status/21922189544) and shared it on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=1562790608&v=wall&story_fbid=149010468452191).

Even if I don't win the glasses, I'll probably buy myself a pair before college starts. They are adorable, and just what I'll need to complete the "campus" look that I guess I'm going for, haha. I've always gone to private school, so dressing for college will be a bit of a challenge, but these should help (especially at UChicago, which is known for it's proud nerdy-ness).

Anyways, love the video. Love Deil. Love love love Warby Parker and its ridiculous virtual-try on. The style of the glasses, the charitable aspect of their business, the ease of use, the price. What could be more perfect?

Here's hoping you get limited ed. Summer and Brooke Warby Parkers in the near or distant future! I'll keep my (shamefully 20/20) eyes peeled!

  13. I love love love Warby Parker! I blogged about them quite awhile ago, because I was intrigued with their darling styles, high quality and generous give-a-pair program. I've worn glasses since I was 5 years old and good style at an affordable price is very important to me.

I'm hoping to have Warbys of my very own soon!

BRB for a sec while I go get my list of names I want to name my future children and add to it! So cute, for sure. And I am actually in the process of looking for new frames. Ah, I love this :D

I would love to win them, but I never win these contests. But I'll try! Even if I don't win, this is definitely where I will spend my money, who doesn't love a chance to help out whenever possible?

  26. Brooke and Summer!!!! I absolutely love love love this. I love glasses and I love these guys. My favorite thing is that when you buy a pair of glasses you give a pair. Also I love all the names, so creative. I now have some more names to add to my future babies list. :) I just love everything about Warby Parker. I really like the way the guys dress on their site. Love the style. I would absolutely love to get a free pair of glasses, especially the those. I did the virtual try on and I'm pretty sure they are meant to be mine. :)

  27. So... I have never heard of Warby Parker before now but... I think I'm in love.
I absolitely LOVE my glasses, I wear them all the time. The ones they have on the website are ADORABLE and they're a good price!
They have such a variety of style and color... Plus the getting 5 shipped to you to try on first? Basically the best thing ever in my opinion!
I think I'm going to order a pair, even if I don't win this!

I tweeted this link a couple of times (included the GWG twitter and Brooke and Summer's twitters), I shared it on Facebook, and I posted a blog about it on my Tumblr :) http://allireallywantisyou.tumblr.com/post/1001414391/win-a-pair-of-warby-parker-glasses-from-the-girls

  28. What I like most about Warby Parker, even more their vintage-inspired designs, affordable price point and fine craftsmenship, is their tremendous generosity. The decision to match each purchase made by donating a pair of glasses to charity such a difference to those in need all across the world!

  37. I'm a girl, I wear glasses, and I'm a stylist that needs to stay looking stylin'. haha. I would love to win these!

    ReplyDelete
  38. There are many reasons why I like Warby Parker.
    - The frames are unique and stylish. I love that each frame has its own name and to a certain extent, it's own "personality".
    - They are affordable. Not everyone can afford $300 glasses and it's refreshing to see a company care about its customers' needs.
    - They give back. It is so important to give back. I think the eyes are one of the most important parts of a person's body and to think that someone might not be able to see clearly because they can't afford glasses is a really sad thought. The fact that they donate glasses every time you purchase a pair simply puts a smile on my face.
    - Their story. I love that their goal is truly to serve the people with classy, high quality goods.
    - The name. I love that the name derived from their inspiration, Jack Kerouac. Inspiration is such a beautiful thing and it is what (I believe) drives invention, creation, and the beautiful world around us.

Lastly, I'm a girl with glasses! Though I didn't begin wearing glasses until high school, they have become a part of who I am. I think that glasses make me special and I like that :)

  39. Adorable! I LOVE wearing glasses. I'm for sure a glasses girl. I saw these guys on the web last week and fell in love! I have been drooling over several pairs already! I think thier vintage style, unique colors and huge heart are my favorite!!!

  44. Love that their so personal in an impersonal internet business world. The charity idea is brilliant, because it gives a full donation for every pair you buy (buy one, give one, unlike others that say "buy one and it contributes toward one-third of a pair of glasses for someone in need!")

  54. My favourite thing about Warby Parker is that they are extremely thoughtful. These guys make every pair of glasses styish and affordable for customers, and at the same time, make every sale meaningful for people in need. The amount of thought that goes into creating the spectacles is amazing too, from the thousand over names to the numerous classic designs. Props to Warby Parker for making every pair of glasses count!

  55. Love, love, love these glasses!! I've been needing to get glasses for quite some time now, but have been putting it off because I couldn't find glasses I liked, fit my style, and were within my price range. These glasses, however, absolutely fit my style, are within my price range, and I don't just like them--I love them!! :) They have vintage flair while still having a modern, chic feel to them. I also love that they design the glasses themselves rather than selling out to larger companies and corporations. Kudos to them! Thanks for the heads-up, Brooke and Summer! <3

    P.S. I blogged about them (http://jillsroadtorecovery.blogspot.com/2010/08/glasses.html) and Tweeted about them (http://twitter.com/JillyBean47/status/22199330291). :)

  58. Warby Parker has such an excellent philanthropic business model. I just discovered them back in March (blogged then about them) and fell in love with the glasses and the concept.

Interestingly enough, just after I posted a link to them on my blog (http://alisamanjarrez.posterous.com/so-many-great-eyeglass-companies-to-check-out), I found out about this contest! Pick me! Pick me!

I also tweeted about it (http://twitter.com/alisa_m_/status/22200777354)!

  60. i loved your vid on these glasses and the story behind the company. innovative and completely creative...not to mention i so want a pair. :D

    ReplyDelete
  61. This is great news, because I've never worn glasses before but in the last few years I kind of feel like I need them. But I haven't wanted to find out, because I didn't think I'd be able to find frames I liked. But I like these! And I definitely like them more knowing that the company is using its resources for good. But overall my favorite thing is the price.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I love how cute, sophisticated, wearable, and classic these glasses look. They are adorable and I so want a pair to add to my collection. These eyes need and the fact they give away some of their goods... wonderful! wonderful!

  63. I think what is so valuable about Warby Parker is the business idea. They definitely place a lot of thought into what their future customers need and want, as well as showing assurance with their trust in their customers by sending frames to you for free, allowing you to try them on, and return them for free...isn't it just too good to be true?
The ultimate convenience, for individuals who want the style, but don't have the money. This business is ultimately a genius idea!

I have been needing a new pair of frames, but the lack of funds isn't so nice. I have to say this, whether the win is in my name or not, Warby Parker will definitely be seeing business from me.

But more than that, I learned something amazing today. Not only are these glasses as lovely as can be, they're gifted to those in need. They stole my heart on that note and will be the only brand I buy from here on out, even if I'm not the chosen winner.

  71. Please please please, I need new glasses, my kids have stepped on mine a thousand times but I'm still wearing them and I don't think they'll last much longer . ha ha

I LOVE THE SHOW, and I love Warby Parker glases, for the most part because of the price and obviously the styles. It's SO hard to find glasses that actually look good and considering how many brands there are out there, I'm surprised at the lack of style for price.

These guys seem SO down to earth! Thanks so much.

  72. Oh yeah, if I can get a pair of these, I'll snap a photo every one of my models with a pair of glasses on before they leave for NYC. Then I'll post it on my blog (echomodels.blogspot.com) I'd love to promote however I can.

  73. I've worn glasses since I was 5 years old. I definitely get miffed at all the fakers who only follow this as a trend.

I like Warby Parker because they have high-quality frames that are affordable--with the lenses included! Getting stylish frames, hi-index lenses, anti-reflective coating, and all that other necessary stuff really adds up. To provide this for under $100 is amazingly absurd.

I love Warby Parker because of their philanthropy. This is one of the few organizations that I've come across that participates in something like this.

    I hope I win. But if I don't, I'm still getting myself a pair!

    ReplyDelete
  74. They are versatile and they type of frame are flattering for many face frames. They look thick and durable!

    ReplyDelete
  75. As i checked their site, i see the glasses that look comfortable to wear with reasonable prices. also, they offer the chances to wear.
Watching the interview, the founders seem to be calm and relaxed, which i see in their products.
i enjoyed the story behind the name, "Warby Parker," too.

  76. I'm a big believer that it's the "one by one" things that really make a difference in the world.
making (awesome) affordable glasses AND brining someone clearer vision... what a fabulous model for any business (or person, for that matter!).

    lovely, all around.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I love the price and the look! As a new glasses wearer since turning 40, I am always looking for cute frames.

    ReplyDelete
  78. i love that they are stylish AND affordable. and that you can try 5 before buying! and i love it even more that they donate a pair to those in need!

    ReplyDelete
  79. What an absolutely, fabulously fantastic idea!!! I love these men, and the two of you, for bringing their company to my attention!!
To be honest, (..and I'm not just saying this to win...) but I have gone without my glasses for the past 2 1/2 years (they were on top of my head, & then, they weren't,) because I can't stand the idea of spending so much on the frames that I feel suit me best...my mom has always told me "you have champagne taste on a beer budget."
The fact that they give a pair to someone in need, with every purchase...it's just amazing. THESE are the kind of caring people that should rue the world!
Even if I don't win, I will be having them ship some specs my way, so I can spend hours, (days,) deciding on my perfect frame!
Tweeting, and F.B.ing this right NOW!!!
    THANKS GWG!!!
